JoAnne was born and raised in Illinois. She attended Illinois State University earning a degree in Elementary education. After she graduated she married George and raised three children while teaching in a variety of grade levels. In 2014, she earned a Masters Degree in Special Education and worked as a Resource Teacher with high school Students. The transition to real estate was easy after years of investing in relationships with teenagers, helping them to see that they have value and can succeed with hard work.
